Battlefield tours
The Falkland Islands have a rich military history, with residents of the Islands having participated in both World Wars, as well as the 1982 Conflict between England and Argentina.

Many key military sites are focused around Stanley and outlying settlements, providing easy access by foot and vehicle. The hills and ridges around Stanley, in particular, provide enjoyable hiking for the physically fit to key monuments and landmarks made famous by the 1982 Conflict.

Led by local people with expert knowledge (in some cases, first-hand), you will be guided through strategies of battle and be able to glimpse the bravery of the servicemen who fought in 1982. Cruise ship excursions
In addition to the tours available to land-based visitors, a number of special tours have been designed specifically for cruise ship visitors - who are often in the Islands for just a day.
