There is no public transport available in the Falklands, but to get about via road visitors can:

• Hire a vehicle 
• Hire a tour guide to drive them
  
• Book a taxi for short trips in and around Stanley
• Book a bus trip between Mount Pleasant airport and Stanley

Taxis are readily available around Stanley at an affordable rate and operate seven days a week.  Taxis in the Falklands are not metered, so be sure to confirm the price of your trip before setting off. 

If you are arriving or departing on an international flight you may need transport either to or from the Mount Pleasant airport complex, which is 37 miles from Stanley.  See below for details of the bus company offering this door-to-door service from Stanley.
